American Alligator eating a Catfish for lunch. Florida is very well know for the Alligators, and I see them as one of Nature’s 8th wonder. Been that said, I also believe that any Alligator over 8 feet in length should not be in lake , lagoons or small bodies of water especially if is by a residential area. So to this point may I add, that since Florida receives a vast amount of new people each year, be it to move and live here or to visit for some time or just to enjoy the Theme Parks, in the Orlando area. I would say the state of Florida should by standards give minutes on this predator, to advice people on how to behave if encountered with an Alligator. I’m not afraid of Alligators, but I do respect their privacy and know not to feed them nor harass them as they can get aggressive and or violent. My saying, “I don’t step on their toes, so they do not bite me.” Since I understand that it is very hard for the state to retrieve this animals from their habitat, is best to educate the public.
